Announcement in accordance with section 10 of chapter 2 of the Finnish Securities Market Act

Following the Stock Exchange Announcement by Orion Corporation on 28 December 2001 concerning the Trade Register entry on 28 December 2001 of the conversion of 291,149 Orion Corporation A-shares into B-shares, the Varma-Sampo Mutual Pension Insurance Company has notified Orion Corporation on 31 December 2001 that the ownership of Varma-Sampo in Orion Corporation exceeds 1/20 (one of twenty). Varma-Sampo has not been involved in the share conversion and has not acquired additional Orion shares.

 

Moreover, Varma-Sampo announces that:

 

1 the full name and trade register nr. of the company is Orion Corporation, trade reg. nr. 136.003

 

2 the date on which the ownership exceeded the 1/20 limit meant by Section 9 of Chapter 2 the Securities Market Act was 28 December 2001.

 

3 The ownership of Varma-Sampo in Orion Corporation is as follows (situation 28 December 2001):

 

 

The total number of Orion Corporation shares is 67,518,421. The number of A-shares is 33,414,163 and the number of B-shares is 34,104,258. Each A-share provides 20 votes and each B-share one vote. The total number of votes is 702,387,518.
